Hi there! We are hoping to someday create an amazing place that we will call Dreaming Oak Farm. Our idea is to have a few acres of land where we can have a small house, beautiful landscaping, lavender plants, gardens, animals, and anything else that we can enjoy with our family and friends. We hope that we can make the place somewhere we can share with many people, such as an event space or a place that people want to visit and spend time. This is still a dream of ours, but we think about it all the time and want to work toward achieving this dream.

In the meantime, we are living in our house in Carrollton, Texas with its small yard. We have our two dogs: Zero and Sydney. We have started out with three fish: our guppies Mat, Perrin, and Rand. I am working on my saltwater tank and Donna is planning to create a planted freshwater tank.

We are turning our back yard into a relaxing space. So far, our focus has been on the patio. We installed a fountain and Donna planted many new potted plants for the area. I’ve installed our color-changing LED lights overhead (thank you Katelyn!) and connected our gas firepit. It’s a great space that really looks and feels nice and comforting.

I’d like to write about our progress along the way to share our journey. As we experiment with plants, landscaping, animals and many other things we are learning by our successes and failures.
